She was born Oct. 19, 1945, to Henry and Jane Schiltz Croft in Mount Vernon, Wash.

She was an apartment manager for over 20 years in San Diego, Reseda and most recently at Sunrise Terrace in Palm Springs. She is survived by her parents, Jane and 1 Henry Croft of Hemet; her brother, Thomas Croft of Seattle; her two sisters, Nancy McDaniel of Oklahoma City, and Patricia Croft of Palm Springs; and her son, Thomas Nelson of Palm Springs. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Wiefels Son.

Services will be held under the direction of Wiefels Son. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Renton, Wash. He graduated from the University of Manitoba Medical School and subsequently received and MRCP for postgraduate work undertaken at the Royal College of Physicians in London. After World War II, Irving practiced medicine in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan and Winnipeg, Manitoba. In 1952 Irving and his wife Rita, moved to California with their three young children, Marilyn, Philip and Barbara. Irving practiced internal medicine in Encino, California from 1952 until his retirement in 1985. Irving was married to his beloved Rita for 42 years until her death in 1985.

Irving married Ricky with whom he shared 17 wonderful years in Palm Desert. Ricky and Irving traveled extensively and enjoyed a loving relationship, golf and the comraderie of good friends. Irving's wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends were privileged to enjoy the company of a man who loved each trip, each meal, and each theatre performance, and who loved life such that the current experience was always the best. Irving cared deeply for his patients. He participated in significant changes in the practice of medicine when he went from being the only physician in a small town in Saskatchewan in the 1940's to making house calls in Encino in the 1950's to employing advanced diagnostic machines in the years before his retirement.

He was a voracious reader, a lover of different cultures who traveled to every corner of the world, and a man who ehjoyed listening to and telling a good joke. Irving leaves behind his beloved wife, Ricky; his children, Marilyn (Gaby) Gross, Philip (Joan) Miller, Barbara (Barry) Shaffer; his stepson Mare (Irit) Brian; his grandchildren, Todd Schindler, Caryn (Carl) Coulam, Jeremy Miller, Benjamin Miller, Matthew Shaffer, Lindsey Shaffer, Ori Brian and Tali Brian; his son-in-law, Edward Schindler; his sisters-in-law, Bea Donaldson and Frieda Shenkarow; and many more family members and friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Eden Memorial Park, Malinow and Silverman Mortuary Directors. HOW THEY VOTED Seamus Nunan Seamus Nunan, 85, a 55-year resident of Palm Springs, died June 25, 2002 at Desert Regional Medical Center. He was born on Feb.

8, 1917, to Peter and May Breen Nunan: in New York. He was a retired educator for the Palm Springs Unified School District and professor emeritus of College of the Desert. He served in the military for 36 years as Lt. Col. in the U.S.

Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the board of directors of Palm Springs Library and Palm Springs Desert Museum. He was also a member of the Retired Officers Association and the Palm Springs Air Museum: and an active member of the Palm Springs Tennis Association. He is survived by his wife, Frances of Palm Springs; his son, Terence of Rolling Hills Estates; his brother, Desmond of Ocean City, N.J; his sister, Moya Sullivan of New York; and two grandchildren. Interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials sent to the Palm Springs Library or the Palm Springs Historical Society. William Taylor William Wallace Taylor IV, 87, of Palm Desert died June 27, 2002, in Palm Desert. He was born Sept. 24, 1914, to William Wallace Taylor III and Bette Alice Brown in Oklahoma City, Okla. He was an experimental test pilot and parts designer in the aviation field for 40 years.

He was a member of the Quiet Birdmen, Experimental Test Pilots Association and Elks. He is survived by his wife, Bette Jo Taylor of Palm Desert; his two daughters, Jane Toni Erickson of Enumclaw, Wash. and Tinker Richards of Sebring, Fla; his three sons, Tracy N. Taylor of Brenham, Texas, Regan R. Taylor of Plano, Texas, and William Wallace Taylor of Austin, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Tafida Farida Taylor, in 1997. Services were held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Oklahoma City, are to be determined at a later date.
