DESERT SUN SATURDAY, MARCH 5, 2005 B9 LIVES REMEMBERED Clive Harrington Clive Eaton Harrington, 85, of Sky Valley died March 1, 2005, at home. He was born March 29, 1919, to Clive Harrington and Jessie Harrington in Boston, Mass. He married Doris Kuhn on Feb. 20, 1943, in Fort Breckenridge, Ky. He was a chiropractor for 50 years and served as a supervisor at the Seattle Health Department for 22 years and as a minister for 30 years.

He also served in the Army from 1941 to 1979, reaching the rank of lieutenant colonel. He is survived by three sons, Clive R. Harrington of Seattle, David D. Harrington of Sky Valley and Daniel E. Harrington of Puyalup, four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m. to 4 p.m Sunday at Desert Hot Springs Mortuary. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Force Hall in Sky Valley. Burial will be at Riverside National Cemetery with Desert Hot Springs Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

The family suggests that donations be made to Gideon International and Feed the Children of Tulsa, Okla. Cesar Ramirez Cesar Octavio Ramirez, 41, of Thermal died March 2, 2005, in Indio. He was born April 23, 1963, to Daniel Ramirez and Maria Luisa Aceves in Jalisco, Mexico. He was a landscaper for Randy Meyer's Nursery for eight years. He is survived by his companion, Petra Cortes Hirst of Thermal; his daughter, Karla Jacqueline Ramirez of Thermal; and his mother, Maria Luisa Ramirez of Jalisco, Mexico.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. Monday at FitzHenry Funeral Home Indio Chapel. A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m.

Tuesday at Our Lady of Perpet- ual Help Church in Indio. Burial will be at Coachella Valley Cemetery with FitzHenry Funeral Home Indio in charge of arrangements. Daniel Lomax Daniel P. Lomax, 74, of Palm Springs died Feb. 27, 2005, in Ontario of pulmonary disease.

He was born June 13, 1930, to Rexford Lomax and Stella Lomax in Bushnell, Ill. He was a wardrobe supervisor on Broadway. He served in the Army from 1952 to 1954 and served in the Army reserve until 1960. He is survived by his brother, John Lomax of Omaha, Neb. A memorial service and interment will be held in Bushnell, Ill.

She was a teacher for 30 years in Ponca City, Okla, Wichita, Kansas and Fountain Valley. She was a member of the Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority. She is survived by her husband, Cunningham of Rancho Mirage; two daughters, Jane Cunningham of Huntington Beach and Jill Abourisk of Thousand Oaks; two sons, Jeff Cunningham of Huntington, and John Cunningham of Mosinee, her sister, Jane Nicely of Tulsa, her brother, Bo Updegraff of Conroe, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. Services are private with Rose Mortuary, Desert Hot Springs in charge of arrangements. Maria Garcia Maria Teresa Garcia, 72, of Indio died March 2, 2005, in Indio.

She was born Dec. 29, 1932, to Martha Chavez in Santa Barbara, Chihuahua, Mexico. She married Isabel Garcia in January 1961, in El Paso, Texas. She was a secretary for an engineering company for 13 years. She is survived by her husband, Isabel Garcia of Indio; her daughter, Sylvia Carrasco of Indio; her son, Carlos Garcia of Indio; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday with a rosary at 6 p.m. Sunday at Casillas Family Funeral Home in Coachella. A funeral mass will be at 9 p.m.

TRIGG ROGER ROURKE rigg Rourke, born on September 24, 1913, died peacefully in his sleep on February 25, 2005, at age 91, after a short illness and a long happy life. He was the eldest son of John Joseph O'Rourke and Janette Marie DeShaw.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years, Dorothy Baker Rourke; and his sons, George and Roger. He is survived by his wife, Fritzie Kuffner Rourke; his daughter, Patricia Rourke Spencer (Randy); his stepson, James Kuffner; his brother, Clark Max Rourke; his sister, Patricia Rourke Stoddard Becker; his grandsons, Matthew (Emily), Tyler and Ryan; his granddaughters, Anna and Leah; his great granddaughter, Elena, extended family members amd many dear friends. Trigg was born in Seattle, and spent much of his life in the Pacific Northwest. He also lived in Los Angeles, Desert Center, and Palm Springs. Trigg began his working years at age 14, when he became a whaler in Alaska on the S.S.

Moran, and joined the United States Navy at age 17. He also worked for Columbia Pictures. His longest career was as a machinist in the aerospace industry. He was highly intelligent and creative, a loyal and steadfast friend and family man. He was an avid golfer, winning bronze and silver medals in the senior Olympics well into his 80's.

He enjoyed boating, digging clams and picking oysters, dancing, socializing, hiking, camping, reading, traveling and films. He was also a creative writer and artist. He rode tall in the saddle, and left behind a little of himself wherever he had been. Trigg and Fritzie lived at Seven Lakes Country Club for about 10 years. There will be no services.
