FOR THE RECORD COMMUNITY KINDNESS Roadside assistance Thanks, ladies On February 22, my car just quit as I was driving down Monterey. Many thanks to two ladies who stopped to help. Neither had a cell phone, but one went home to get hers. Ruben, from Rancho Mirage, stopped and phoned AAA and stayed with me until the tow truck came. Thanks to all who helped.

LOIS HARDING Palm Springs Angelview foundation Well done, DHS I would like to publicly thank the city of Desert Hot Springs. For the past 50 years, Desert Hot Springs has been the primary home for the Angelview Crippled Children's Foundation. Although we have houses throughout the Coachella Valley, most are in Desert Hot Springs as well as our main facility and offices. The citizens of Desert Hot Springs have been most supportive. The majority of our staff lives in that community and I could not imagine working with a better group of people.

I would also like to mention that the planning department and council have always been inost cooperative. Their police department and all other municipal agencies have gone out of their way to assist us. As president of the Board of Angelview, I would like to thank the entire city for all they do for our children. MEL HABER President of the Board of Angelview Desert Hot Springs 'The Patti Gribow Show' Support appreciated As executive producer of "The Patti Gribow Show," I want to thank everyone who voted for Patti Gribow as the best TV personality in the April issue of the Desert Magazine's "Best of the Valley." To be on the air less than six months and to be voted in the top three along with Karen Devine and Tom Jordan is awesome. We have tried to put out a quality product with interesting shows taped in front of a live audience at CBSTV2 and airing on Channel 7.

Our wonderful musical conductor Michael Perna also conducted the music for the Academy Awards. It is gratifying to see that the desert has embraced this fine show. On behalf of Patti and the entire crew at CBSTV2, we humbly thank you. DALE GRIBOW, Executive producer The Patti Gribow Show Palm Desert CRIME TIPS Crime Stoppers: 341-7867.
