YOU HAVE HAVE DESERT SUN LIVES REMEMBERED Anders Kjellstrom Anders Kjellstrom, 82, of Palm Desert died May 9, 2006, in Palm Desert of cancer. He was born Sept. 16, 1923, to John and Stina Kjellstrom in Laxa, Sweden. He worked for the Swedish Amerika Line; the Swedish Embassy in Washington, D.C.; a and 25 years in the restaurant business in Las Vegas, including maitre d' at the Sands Hotel. He served in the Swedish Navy during the 1940s.

He was a member of Palm Desert Greens Country Club, Vasa Swedish Club, and the Bocci Ball Club. He is survived by his niece, Irene Pihl of Orebro, Sweden, and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Kjellstrom, in 1995.. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. Interment will be at Davis Memorial Park in Las Vegas.

Wiefels Son Funeral Directors of Palm Springs is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests that donations be made to the ABC Recovery Club in Indio. Richard Garner Richard "Dick" Alan Garner, 72, of Palm Desert died May 11, 2006, in Palm Desert. He was born Aug. 20, 1933, to Martin and Katherine Garner in Wilkinsburg, Pa.

He married Bonnie Neely on Sept. 10, 1983, in Las Vegas. He was an engineer at Union Pacific Railroad and, most recently, a bartender at the Fireside Lounge in Palm Springs for 14 years. He is survived by a daughter, Laura Garner of Palm Desert, and a son, Robert Garner of Palm Springs. A final farewell celebration will be at noon June 3 at the Fireside Lounge in Palm Springs.

Amelia Campos De Burke Amelia Campos De Burke, 66, of Cathedral City died May 13, 2006, in Palm Desert of lung cancer. She was born Dec. 24, 1939 to mother Rufina Aguilar Sanchez in Oaxaca, Mexico.

She worked in housekeeping. She married Norman E. Burke Jr. on Nov. 18, 1967, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by daughters Adeline Burke of Palm Desert, Amelia R. Burke of Desert Hot Springs, and Janel Burke of California; mother Rufina Aguilar Sanchez of Mexico City; sisters Ciria Campos Aguilar, Zara Campos Aguilar and Beatriz Lidia Campos Aguilar, all of Mexico City; brothers Genaro Campos Aguilar and Gaspar Campos Aguilar of Mexico City; five grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, at Forest Lawn in Cathedral City.

Michael Brian Woods Michael Brian Woods, 45, of Rancho Mirage died May 17, 2006 in Rancho Mirage. He was born Sept. 8, 1960, to James and Marjorie Woods in Los Angeles. He worked as an executive in the automotive industry for more than 25 years. He is survived by wife Natasha Woods of Rancho Mirage; daughters Rebecca and Alexandra Woods; mother Woods; and brothers Matthew, Jim and Bob Woods.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, at St. Francis of Assisi in La Quinta. Interment will be private with Forest Lawn in charge of arrangements.
