this Sunday Rev Sturgeon has accepted a call to become pastor of the Westlake Community Baptist Church in San Francisco After a month of vacation he will begin his new duties September The Sturgeons have resided in Palm Desert for over three years During this period congregation has been firmly established and the new church accommodating 250 has been constructed on Avenue 44 There is now a full program of church activities Besides these activities the congregation has sought through various means to be of service to the entire community To this end the building has been made available to a number of civic Organizations including regular use by the Rancho Mirage Boy Scouts Mr Sturgeon has been active in a number of projects in the area Of these he is most satisfied with his work as the
