He was born Nov, 15, 1936, to John and Ida Mae Chatham Laster in Carthage, Texas. He married Addie Ruth Morgan on July 18, 1959, in Las Vegas, Nev. He was self-employed as a contractor and belonged to the Rising Sun Motorcycle Club.

He is survived by his wife, Addie of Cathedral City; four sons, Kir-by of Banning, Kelvin of Washington, D.C., Bernell of Desert Hot Springs and Jonathan of Rudy Boisvert Rudy Boisvert, 82, of Thousand Palms, died July 1 0, 200 1 in Thousand Palms, He was born June 16, 1919, to Wilfred and Florenda Lauzon Boisvert in Quebec, Canada. He married Allene Turner on Aug. 28, 1965, in Los Angeles. He was a printing estimator for 41 years, retiring from Jeffries Bank Note Corp. in Los Angeles.

He was president of the Los An-geles Club Printing House Craftsmen, and volunteered with Food In Need of Distribution and the Thousand Palms Library. He is survived by his wife, Allene of Thousand Palms; and two sons, Nick of Walnut Creek and Paul of Las Vegas, Nev. Nicheside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Palm Springs Mausoleum in Cathedral City under the direction of Palm Springs Mortuary of Cathedral City. The family suggests donations to the Friends of the Thousand Palms Library or the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice, Palm Desert.

She married Robert E. Flaherty on Aug. 25, 1951, in Milwaukee. She was chair and co-founder of the annual MS ProAm golf tournament in Palm Desert, and a founding member of Southern California VIMS, or Volunteers in Multiple Sclerosis. She and her husband received the President's Award of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society for lifetime service in 1989, and an award for raising more than SI million through their golf tournament in 1998.

She was a charter member of Ironwood Country Club. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly F. Beattie of La Canada; two sons, Kevin J. of Cary, N.C, and Patrick C. of Bakers-field; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 1997. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Palm Desert. The family suggests donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society in Redlands.

Sheri Gearheart Sheri Ann Gearheart, 54, of Palm Desert, died July 8, 2001. She was born Jan. 25, 1947, to John P. and Dorothy M. "Reed Taylor in Ontario.

She married Ray Gearheart on April 12, 1963, in Spokane, Wash. She was a homemaker for 38 years. She is survived by her husband, Ray ofPalm Desert; her daughter, Sondra of Bellingham, two sons, Gary of Sacramento and Todd of Twin Falls, Idaho; her brother, Ron Keeler of Reno, her sister, Judith Miller of Salt Lake City; Utah; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 1 1 a.m. Saturday at Palm Springs Mortuary in Cathedral City, followed by inurnment in Palm Springs Mau soleum's Tranquility Falls.

He was born Dec. 20, 1929, in Los Angeles. He married Patricia Voinch'e on Dec. 27, 1987, in Westminster. He was an engineer who worked for manufacturers, and served in the U.S.

Navy during World War II. He was a member of Gamblers Anonymous for more than 27 years, was on the National Council for Problem Gambling for more than three years and was a mentor at Indio Continuation School. He is survived by his wife, Patricia of Palm Desert; his daughter, Teresa Lami of Diamond Bar; his son, Mike of Bakersfield; two stepdaughters, Dawn Wilson of Ontario and Diana Reinhardt of Placentia; two stepsons, Greg Miller and Guy Miller, both of Virginia; and 15 grandchildren. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. today at Wiefels Mortuary Chapel in Palm Springs.

Interment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Brea, with Wiefels and Son Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Weddle, 51, of Moreno Valley, a former resident of the Coachella Valley, died July 10, 2001, in Moreno Valley. He was born Jan.

16, 1950, to Robert L. and Genevieve Ostenak-Weddle in Kansas City, Kan. He married Susan Foster on Dec. 14, He was a registered civil engineer and worked as city engineer for the city of La Quinta before" working as city engineer for the city of Fontana for 1 1 years. He belonged to the American Society of Civil Engineers.

He is survived by his wife, Susan of Moreno Valley; two daughters, Wendy of Las Vegas, and Tracy of Fort his brother, David of Cathedral City; his stepmother, Ruth of San Bernardino; and his grandmother, Mable of Kansas City, Kan. Memorial services will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today and from 1 1 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Weddle residence in Moreno Valley.

He was born Jan, 9, 1952, to John and Theresa Travis Iodice in Niagara Falls, N.Y. He was the showroom captain at the MGM Grand Hotel in Reno, for 15 years, and a professional drummer for more than 30 years. He is survived by his compan ion, Barbara Krivoshi of Desert Hot Springs; his sister, Pamela Calhoun of Las Vegas, and his father, John of Las Vegas.

Services will beat 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Desert Hot Springs. Harry Graves Harry L. Graves, 69, of Palm Springs, died July 6, 2001, in Palm Springs. He was born Aug. 25, 1931, to Jamie L. and Ruby Waller Graves in St.

Joseph, Mo. He married Joyce E. Graves on March 25, 1961, in Las Vegas, Nev. He owned and operated Ad Space Inc. in Pomona, a manufacturer of mobile and modular space, foP35 years'," and Space Leasing for 25 years before retiring.

He belonged to the Unitarian Universalist Church in Mont-clair; Redhill Country Club in Rancho Cucamonga; Covina Power Squadron in Covina; and Travelers Aid in Ontario. Army during World War II. Thurman 1 I September 26, 1923 -June 30, 2001 I CALIFORNIA Stan Thurman passed away peacefully the morning of June 30th at Stevens Hospital in Edmonds, Washington from congestive heart failure. Stan was born on i farm in Clark County, Washington, where he was raised, until moving to Kelso, when he was eight. Stan remained in Kelso until graduating from Kelso High School in June 1941. Seeking adventure, he moved to Seattle and worked for the Fisher Flour Mill until the war with Japan started si months later.

Stan immediately enlisted In the Navy and departed for duty on Christmas Eve, 1941. He served in the North Pacific and participated in the defense of Dutch Harbor, Alaska during the Japanese air raids in June 1942. After the War's end, Stan finished bis six year enlistment aboard the destroyer USS Cyatt, which was based on the East coast. The Navy trained Stan to be an electrician and he gives the Navy much credit for his later success. During the time that Stan was building the business, from 1953 until 1970, he was known as a generous man that would help many of his friends and employees start their own businesses. Many of these people have gone on to great success and have created several successful chains.

Stan did not find running a public company to his liking and soon left to start new chain of stores. He and his brother, Bob, were one of the first in this type of business. Many of their ideas were copied by other major chains that dominate the business today. During his long business career, Stan became involved in many community activities and had many Interests. He was Involved to politic', a one time candidate for the State House of Representatives, a member of several boards, involved in the horseracing community, an avid boater, an accomplished pilot, he loved to fish and hunt, enjoyed golfing and was member of the Mill Creek and Indian Wells Country Clubs. He also served on the 441 foundation and was a director of the Horseman's Benevolent i Protective Association Stan retired from Thurman Industries 199S but stayed active in several community activities.

Stan is survived by bis wife of 36 years, Jacqueryn and five children: sons Kenton Thurman of Kirk land. WA; Rodney Thurman of Longview, WA; and stepchildren Edward Jennings of Rente. WA; William Jennings of DuvaR, WA, and Mishal Jennings Brown of Tucson, AZ; twefc grandchildren and fn grandchildren Stan was receded to death fey twin daughters Pamela and Patricia and his brothers Elton Thurman and Robert Thurman.
