mail route from Indio to Cathedral City in the 1920s, died Sunday at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Indio. He was 82. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at FitzHenry Funeral Home chapel in Indio.

Burial will be at Coachella Valley Cemetery. He was born in Oklahoma and moved to Indian Wells in 1924. Mr. Lawrence began his mail route in 1925 with 20 customers. Mr.

Lawrence delivered the mail until 1936 when the route was discontinued and residents had to travel to Indio for their mail. At one time he owned 160 acres of cotton in Indian Wells. He also owned a grocery store gas station and trucking company. He is survived by his wife, Leona Mae; nine daughters, Pat Radice of Riverside, Barbara Dirnberger of Albuquerque, N.M., Betty Greenslit of Lynwood, Carolyn Alexander of Anza, Sue Blueian of Coachella, Saundra Juhola of Indio, Tona Lawrence and Francine Gutierrez, both of Palm Desert, and Joni Lawrence Galvan of Coachella; one son, Richard Lawrence of Banning; two brothers, Clyde Lawrence of Nampa, Idaho and Dean Lawrence of Forrest Falls; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Sollecito A memorial Mass for Sebastian S. "Yano" Sollecito will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Solitude Catholic Church in Palm Springs. A tribute to Mr. Sollecito will be held from 2 to 4 p.m.in the parish hall.

He was a native of New York and had lived in Palm Springs for 25 years. Survivors include his wife, Mar- Memorial services for former Rancho Mirage resident William B. Boscow are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Eternal Hills Mortuary in Oceanside. Mr.

Boscow, a retired investment broker, died Sunday in Escondido. He was born in Oregon and was living in Escondido at the time of his death. Survivors include his wife, Marie; one son, Ron Boscow of Massachusetts; two daughters, Francine Boscow of New York and Cindy Lott of Palm Springs; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Inturnment will be at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside. Rose Marie Velko Services for Rose Marie Velko, 73, of Palm Springs were held today at Our Lady of Solitude Catholic Church in Palm Springs.

Mrs. Velko died Saturday at the California Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Palm Springs. She was born in Akron, Ohio, and had lived here for 11 years. Survivors include her husband, Fred; one son, Nichols Velko of Downey; one sister, Agnes Centola of Akron; one brother, John Mancuso of Florida, and one grandchild. Burial was at Desert Memorial Park in Cathedral City.

The family suggests donations to jorie Ellis, and one son, John Ellis, the American Cancer Society. U.S. summary A Western storm spread snow and rain today while a high pressure system over the Great Lakes gave much of the Midwest and East calm weather. The storm over Nevada dumped heavy snow on the mountains of northern Arizona, southwest Colorado and southern Montana, Drenching showers and thundershowers ranged across southern sections of California and Arizona. Travelers' advisories were in effect in Nevada, the Sierra Nevada of California, southern Utah, the mountains of southern California, southeast Arizona, northwest New Mexico, southeast Idaho, northwest Montana and western South Dakota. Elsewhere, showers were widespread from the lower Gulf Coast and northern Florida into the Carolinas, and were scattered across Kansas.

Today's forecast called for snow from the Great Basin across the northern and central Rockies into the northern Plains. Ruth Nelson Transyears resident J.T. Krohne were held Feb. 19 in Elk City, Okla. Mr. Krohne, 60, died Feb.

18 at Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City. He had lived in Elk City, since 1975. He served with the U.S. Marines and fought in the South Pacific during World War II. Mr.
