He was born Feb. 26, 1921, in Clarkston, and was valedictorian of his high school class. She was a waitress. Survivors include a son, Jason McLavey of Salem; her mother and stepfather, Kathy and Dustin Ogg of Pacific City; her father, Jack Lewis of Dallas; a stepbrother, Don Suklis of Cottage Grove, a stepsister, Barbara Becker of Coos Bay, her grandmother, Clara Hanna of Salem; and one grandson. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 201 Oak Grove Road N.W., in Salem. The Community Blood Bank Is at 39-000 Bob Hope Drive in Rancho Mirage.

Blood may be donated 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Fridays. Information: 7734190. at Tacoma General Hospital He was born in 1935in Carter-ville, to R.C.

and Audra Bolls. Mr. Bolls was an Indio resident from 1960-68. He was a retired supervisor for Kennicott Copper Corp. in Tacoma.

Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Bolls of Washington State and Rhoda Bolls of Texas; a sister, Mary Ellen Huddelston of Sten-nette, Texas; four brothers, Milford Bolls of Henderson, Cecil A. Bolls of Pensacola, Kenneth Bolls of Rialto and Dale Bolls of Palm Springs. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary, in 1987. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mountain View Tacoma Mortuary.

Corps during World War II, he graduated from the University of Utah. He was a starting guard on the 1944 Utah Redskins NCAA Division I national championship basketball team. Howard was owner and president of Purdy Brush Co. in Portland, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Shrin-ers, Kiwanis, Multnomah Athletic Club and the Portland Chamber of Commerce. He assisted many athletic organizations. Survivors include his wife, Beverly; three sons, David Howard Jr.

and Craig Howard, both of Portland, Brent Howard of Phoenix; a stepson, Troy Almann of Portland; a stepdaughter, Melissa Almann of Lake Oswego, Oregon; and three grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 3 p.ni. 'Monday at Christ Episcopal Church, 1060 S.W. Chandler. Road, in Lake Oswego.

Services are pending under the direction of Palm Springs Mortuary in Cathedral City. Burial will be at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier. Belma E. Vedder, 64 Belma Elaine Vedder, 64, of Desert Shores died June 19, 1995, at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Indio.

She was born Aug. 15, 1930, in Schenectady, N.Y., to Laura Snow-stein and George Fitzgerald. Mrs. Vedder was a homemaker and a 20-year resident of the desert. She married Dale Vedder on May 29, 1952, in Scotia, N.Y.

Survivors include her husband, Dale; two sons, Dale Gordon Vedder Jr. of Schenectady and Barry Vedder of Desert Shores; two daughters, Gale Leasiur of Desert Shores and Bonnie James of Victor-ville; and eight grandchildren. Private services are pending under the direction of FitzHenry Funeral Home in Indio.
